At the high peak of the hiking and mountaineering season at the end of September – also known as autumn – Hanwag invited mountain enthusiasts to the Zugspitze (2962 m) for the Hanwag Alpine Experience 2019. Participants from ten countries climbed Germany’s highest mountain by four different routes.
HANWAG is expanding its alpine category around its Ferrata II boot with two new technical Low-cut models, reworks its classic hiking boot with a new focus on providing the perfect fit for all foot sizes – from narrow to wide. And introduces the EVORADO – HANWAG’s new shoe for outdoor enthusiasts who want to move lighter and faster.
For Winter 2019/20, Hanwag the Bavarian bootmaker continues to have a dual approach to weather protection. Five winter boots are offered with the proprietary Hanwag Eco-Shell Footwear membrane to keep feet warm and dry. A further six further models come with a GORE-TEX membrane from Hanwag’s long-standing technology partner. In addition, Hanwag double-stitched boots are available with leather uppers, inner linings and no membrane for purist-traditional style protection when stomping through snow.
The Bavarian bootmaker Hanwag has achieved very positive turnover performance and is creating new posts to be ready for the future trail ahead. Heading up the marketing department in the new position of Marketing Director International, Hanwag has appointed Christian Wittig, who is no stranger to the brand. The traditional shoemaker from Vierkirchen has also created a new post of Head of Service and engaged 32-old Florian Kern. In addition, Albrecht Volz has now been designated as new Country Manager Germany.
